SWARMER
SWARMER Swarming Autonomy in non-peRMissive EnviRonments The SWARMER project aims to develop a new generation of autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UAS) designed to operate reliably in environments where satellite-based navigation systems like GNSS are unavailable or actively disrupted. As modern conflicts increasingly involve electronic warfare tactics such as jamming and spoofing, there is a critical need for drones that can navigate, coordinate, and complete missions without relying on GNSS signals. To meet this challenge, SWARMER will create a swarm of drones capable of robust, autonomous navigation through the integration of multiple onboard sensors and advanced data fusion technologies. These systems will enable drones to perform tasks such as reconnaissance and collaborative operations, adapting in real time to changing conditions on the ground. The project aligns with several of the European…
