Arts & Media

Rapid development of science and technology has changed the form of artistic expression and created new ways of how we experience and design the world around us. In order to achieve a more holistic and human-centered approach to deal with the challenges of modern technology and society we need to integrate creativity into research and innovation.

Towards that end M4D is aiming to promote new technological approaches from a societal and artistic perspective, as well as to emphasize on the added value and unconventional solutions and results that can be achieved through art & tech collaboration.

Moreover, M4D is aiming to support the art, design and media industry through the development of tools and services that can facilitate their design process and creative thinking. Advancements in technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, decision support, machine learning, computer vision, extended reality and big data analytics can help artists explore new ideas and bring forward new creative possibilities. More specifically, such technologies can enhance human creativity, produce a vast number of options and ideas to choose from, give insights and patterns through analyzing big data sets, and foster user participation, engagement and interaction.
