Smart Manufacturing

Smart manufacturing is a term used to describe the industrial production and manufacturing which is done in automated ways, within a connected supply and value chain. It is characterized by a fully-integrated, collaborative manufacturing system which responds in real time and aims to meet the continuously changing demands of the customers, the supply network’s needs, and the general conditions in industries. Smart machines are utilized, which operate autonomously and communicate with the manufacturing systems, workers and control centers. That way monitoring of the manufacturing processes can be controlled, assuring high quality products and avoiding possible inefficiencies or defect products.
